Because our yard is in Starke, local customers have two options most of our other service areas don’t: you can pick up smaller equipment yourself with a trailer, or we deliver on our flatbed. Either way, machines are prepped, fueled, and inspected before they leave the yard.
For customers who pick up, we walk through the equipment with you before you load, controls, attachments, safety points, and any machine-specific quirks worth knowing. For deliveries within Starke and the immediate Bradford County area, we’re typically on-site within the hour.
Equipment we carry
Compact track loaders – Our most versatile and most-rented machine category. Land clearing, grading, material moving, brush removal, a CTL handles an enormous range of work, especially when paired with the right attachment. We stock buckets, grapples, and brush cutters, and we’ll help you figure out which combination fits your job.
Mini excavators – 1.7-ton, 3.5-ton, and 5.0-ton classes. Bradford County projects lean heavily on mini excavators for septic work, drainage channels, and utility trenching. Trenchers – A 48-inch walk-behind trencher for irrigation, drainage, and utility line runs. Far faster than hand-digging in Bradford County sand, and cleaner than using an excavator bucket on short runs.
Forestry mowers – For heavy brush and small-diameter timber clearing without the need to haul material off-site. The mower processes everything in place and leaves the ground workable.
Bradford County project context
Starke is the county seat of Bradford County, a rural community of about 27,000 people across 294 square miles. The landscape is flat to gently rolling, dominated by planted pine, mixed hardwood, and agricultural land. Most properties outside of town run on well and septic, and the soil is predominantly sandy with occasional clay pockets.
Residential lot clearing and homesite prep – Bradford County has a steady flow of buyers purchasing wooded lots along US-301, SR-100, and the county roads south and east of town. Clearing timber, removing stumps, establishing a building pad, and cutting a driveway are the standard project sequence, and often require two or three pieces of equipment over the course of a week.
Post-timber harvest cleanup – A lot of the acreage around Starke has been in pine production. After harvest, the land is left with stumps, root systems, and slash debris that need to be cleared before the property can be used for anything else. A compact track loader with a brush cutter handles the smaller material, but large stumps often need a dedicated grinder pass.
Drainage and water management – Flat terrain and sandy soil mean water doesn’t always go where you want it. Drainage ditches, swales, and French drains are common projects, especially on properties that sit lower or collect runoff from adjacent land.
