Accidents happen on a jobsite. T.E.S. Equipment Protection covers the first $750 (Protected) or $2,500 (All-In) of accidental damage repair, so a small mistake doesn’t come straight out of your pocket.
Two levels of protection
Equipment Protection comes with our Protected and All-In rental options. Your coverage level sets how much accidental damage repair T.E.S. covers during normal use, up to $750 or $2,500.
Example: a Protected rental takes $1,900 in covered accidental damage. T.E.S. covers the first $750; you cover the remaining $1,150. On a Standard rental, the full $1,900 is yours.
What is T.E.S. Equipment Protection?
Equipment Protection is optional coverage you can add to your rental by choosing a Protected or All-In rental option. It covers the cost of accidental damage to the machine during normal use, up to the coverage cap for your rental level ($750 or $2,500). T.E.S. absorbs repair costs within your cap, and anything above it is your responsibility. It’s about predictability: you know exactly how much accidental damage is covered before the machine ever leaves the yard.
How does it work?
If covered accidental damage happens during normal use, T.E.S. covers the repair up to your cap ($750 on a Protected rental, $2,500 on an All-In rental) and you pay nothing within it. Repair costs above the cap are your responsibility. Report any damage within 24 hours so we can assess it and get the machine back in service quickly.
On-site service calls
Protected and All-In rentals include your first on-site service call at no extra charge. If a track comes off or the machine needs a field repair, we come to you, and that first visit, including travel time, is covered. On a Standard rental, on-site service calls are billed at our standard shop rate.
Risk reduction, not risk elimination. Equipment Protection covers a set amount of accidental damage repair, not every loss. It is not blanket coverage. The exclusions below still apply, and this is not an insurance policy.
What if I don’t take it?
On a Standard rental there’s no coverage: you’re responsible for the full cost of any damage to the machine, a cleaning fee if it’s returned dirty, and fuel and delivery on standard terms. For many renters, having the first $750 or $2,500 of accidental damage covered is the easier way to rent.
What is not covered?
Equipment Protection covers accidental damage during normal use. It does not cover:
- Total loss
- Damage from negligence or abuse
- Glass, tires, and broken or damaged teeth or blades
- Fluids lost due to damage
- Downtime rental fees during repair
- Theft, loss, and misuse
How do I use my Equipment Protection?
- Report any damage to T.E.S. Rentals within 24 hours.
- For theft or vandalism, file a police report and share it with us.
